Meetings, Bloody Meetings!

As reported in the Wichita Eagle, a recent survey of 2,000 respondents revealed that most business managers spend between one-fifth and two-thirds of their work week in internal meetings.

Those who work in larger companies were more likely to say that meetings were a waste of time than those who work in small companies.

Meetings should be the intervention of last resort—occurring only if e-mail, one-on-one talks, or other communication doesn’t work.

When meetings are necessary, make them short, focused and productive. Learn more about meeting management skills.
